New (tax) year, new help!

Fixed Assets and UltraTax CS 2023 help is now on Help and Support. We're still moving articles, but you can find most content for the 2023 tax year there. Continue using the Help & How-To Center for tax years 2022 and older.

Every partnership doing business in Yonkers and having a partner who is a nonresident of Yonkers must complete Form Y‑204.

Apportionment

Yonkers uses three-factor apportionment based on property, payroll, and sales. Data entry for apportionment can be entered in View > Apportionment > New York tab > City Information button. If no Yonkers amounts are entered in the Apportionment Information dialog, UltraTax CS assumes the client does not do business in Yonkers.

If 100% of the New York income should be apportioned to Yonkers, mark the Yonkers apportionment is equal to New York apportionment box in the View > Apportionment > New York tab.

If Form Y-204 is printing but there should not be any income apportioned to Yonkers, mark the Does not do business in Yonkers box in the View > Apportionment > New York tab.

Form Y-204 will not print if the Allocating all income on the basis of separate books and records box is marked on Screen Alloc, in the Adjustments folder.

Note: If no Yonkers amounts are entered in the Apportionment Information dialog, UltraTax CS generates the following FYI diagnostic: “Apportionment grid contains data but none has been entered for Yonkers; apportionment calculation for Yonkers will default to 0”.
